Name of the 90′s company/magazine where kids could sell products and earn prizes or cash?

My cousin and I used to sell products from this kids company. You could buy magazine subscriptions, chocolates, little home trinkets like stationary, random knick knacks etc. and in turn the kids would earn prizes or cash for how much they sold. we have been trying to remember the name and I've googled it numerous ways and can't figure it out. Its likely no longer in business but its KILLING me! Help lol I think it possibly started with a C or an S anyone know?!

Short Version: I think you're over reacting. Reasons: She wanted an accurate line, my grandfather is an architect and he would of done the same thing. I don't see anything wrong with the clay thing, good way to get stress out. I guess she just likes the texture better. The bathroom thing is kinda normal I clean the toilet seat too because I'v had bad experiences, won't go into detail. The only slightly serious problem is the fingernail biting, that's a terrible habit that I broke myself from.. but went to biting my jacket sleeve. Maybe she has a little anxiety about having dirty hands or sitting on a nasty toilet. Not really signs of depression.. every teenager goes through some stress and some people like being clean. I think you're over reacting a little, those are pretty normal behaviors. It's good to know you are a caring mother though.
It sounds like obsessive compulsive disorder, to me.
It really sounds like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It can come in a variety of forms. Counseling from a professional would be the best route. OCD is a form of an anxiety disorder. The person feels anxious when the certain action is not performed and it just eats away at them until they do. But every time they do give in to the anxiety, it only backs up the need to do the action. Giving in now could also lead to more extreme measures of even more intricate actions (the person will begin to feel like a slave to the impulse)
Some people do it to feel more in control in an environment in which they do not feel in control, but usually the reason is just a chemical imbalance. Serotonin is released when the person goes ahead with the impulse, which again just tells the brain it is alright to demand that the action be performed. But once again, keep in mind, this is an anxiety disorder which CAN lead to depression in that the actor feels like they have no control over the actions.
Hows grades in her studies?
does she do extra well in her studies such as
A+, A+, A, A+. B?
does she have a crush in anybody?

if so.. its kind of a problem!
I have a cousin who is a…..
at the age of 19 he had panic attacks..
and also… its about the age aunt..
at this age ….. the surroundings[the people around her(ie.friends)].. might not be good for her
try spending more quality time with her!
take her for shopping
dress her like a beauty queen :)!
don't just straight away take her to the hospital.. 1st try to get her tell what sadness she is going thru. shes ur daughter… andi am sure.. shes gonna tell you!
2nd. if she over reacts.. or gets angry… always tell her "I Love You Sweety Don't Get Angry I Am Your Mom"
3rd If she gets angry like this "I DONT LIKE THIS PENCIL" … just go get an another pencil for her!
4th. If you have done all the above..no other choice.. then u gotta take her to the hospital
I recommend taking her to a specialist and getting an expert opinion. There are many forms of anxiety disorders and it takes more factors than symptoms alone to uncover what may be happening. You can have "compulsions" without having OCD.It's all related to anxiety, compulsions are how people with anxiety attempt to regain control out of their environment when they feel out of control. They'll want to look at genetic predisposition (anxiety disorders can be passed, for instance, from a parent to a child in 30% of cases regardless of how well the parent may attempt to prevent their anxiety effecting their child). They will also look at what may be going on with your daughter in situations like school and home. They'll ask you to get an opinion from teachers or other sources that work with your child for another view, and some other things. If you find that you're not feeling like the specialist is working well for you both, try another. It's difficult to find the right one on the first try.Your child will hopefully benefit in the long run as a result of your diligence. It's not the answer for everyone but it may be a place to start.Good luck!
