I have a friend that invites my to go out every night of the week and almost everyday. I work a lot and I work at home. I like being social, but at the same time I want my business to succeed. Do you think this friend is a positive or negative influence. Anyone older with perspective that might have this type of friend while younger late 20s. Is it better to work, work, work or party, party, party. Balancing the 2 so far has brought very mediocre results. What do you think? Is life about career fulfillment or building your social network?

He sounds like a drunk, work on your career. The type of people who go out everynight are unhealthy slobs and are usually broke cause they spend all the money at the bars. They tend to age faster and have stds. Of course u can go out just not every night, hell twice a month is plenty for most people
Well, if you don't have a job, you don't have money, and so you can't party, party, party.
There's no law that says you have to go out every time your friend invites you. What if you guys just had a "regular" night that you met at the bar, say Tuesday (or whatever night fits in best with your schedule). Then the other nights of the week, you can be social with other friends, pursuing other interests or you can stay home and focus on your business.
In forty years, your hard-partying friends won't be around but the business you build can be. The same goes for the family you build — you're not married and don't have kids from the sounds of it. Plus, if you end up having kids, you can pass down the legacy of your business or you can pass down the legacy of alcoholism. Which do you prefer?
They are only as much of an influence as you want them to be.I personally think that your future and career should be your top priorities.While it is fun to go out and have a good time, it is a much more enjoyable experience when it is done less often.You can also be social without going out and partying all the time.
what's wrong with working hard and partying hard? If you throw cancel your cable, delete facebook account and remove other obsolete activities from your life – you will find that you'll have so much time for partying hard and working hard ;)
A lot of signals are all over the place to show if a man is cheating on his wife. On a personal viewpoint, i would say 'gentle' and loving confrontation is good, for example say; "Dad, do you mum loves you more than the whole world." (in a quite way). But you can still double check the signs whether your dad is cheating on your mom.
