The plot is a bit interesting. I've seen similar, but it doesn't sound bad at all. You should expand on the plot a bit. You put the most-likely-to-be-cliche parts in the description, and I doubt this is the entire story.
It's not particularly cliche. I think that, if handled correctly, the idea could be turned into a magnificent story. The general theme may have been used before, but not so much as to be called cliche. And I also like the name Paige Turner. It is an easily remembered name with a nice ring to it.
Paige Turner is an epic name! =) I laughed out loud Sublimal messagin in all it's glory ;)
But on a more serious note, how about Paige Brooks?
I think its cool. But I would just wonder how her mom would just.. let her go, without making sure she got there first.

Please don't call a girl who loves books Paige Turner. That is insane.
It's completely unrealistic.
1) If the mother trusted her father enough to look after her for two weeks, why isn't he in her life at all?
2) Why _isn't_ he in her life at all?
3) Why would a rebellious teen accept a lift from her school principle? And why did the principle offer her a lift home? Surely he knows that can be seen as inappropriate, even if it's well-meaning?
4) Why didn't her mum drop her off at her dad's house? She'd need _someone_ to introduce them…
5) Why didn't he know she was his daughter? He would have been in contact with her mum through the school at some point (especially as her daughter is a rebel).
6) Why would he give a random girl a lift if he had to get home to meet his daughter?
7) How come she needed a ride?
I could go on, but you get the point. There are more holes in this than Swiss Cheese.
Paige Turner? Oh no. Don't use that. I've seen it so many times in little kids' books. Usually, it's some old librarian named Ms. Paige Turner.
Other than that, it's good.
